With 40 years in industrial automation, my career path has seen me working as a systems integrator, a plant controls engineer in two manufacturing facilities, coming full circle back to systems integration with Entrust Solutions Group and now into a new role as Principal Engineer with Optimal Pipeline Solutions. This blend of experiences has provided me with a rich perspective, merging integration know-how with very practical insights from the manufacturing world.In manufacturing, my extensive deployment of Inductive Automation's Ignition in 2 of our facilities brought about significant cost savings, enhanced troubleshooting capabilities, and deepened our visibility into our processes. This involvement provided me with real-world experience in developing robust and easily maintainable systems. My work with Ignition went beyond mere implementation; it involved creating solutions that were sustainable, scalable, and could adapt to evolving manufacturing needs, all while ensuring ease of use and minimal downtime.My career has been more than just a series of positions; it's been a fusion of lifelong learning, creativity, and a dedication to enhancing the life and work experiences of myself and those around me.In my personal life, my family and I became residents of Kansas City in 2018 following my transfer from the Aurora manufacturing facility to our Kansas City location. Our daughter is currently attending William Jewell College, pursuing her degree in Music Education. I have turned my passion for 3D design, 3D printing, and laser engraving into successful ventures with i2i Laser Works and i2i 3D Works. Music also plays a significant role in my life. As a Bass Guitar Player since my early teens, I have been a part of many great bands over the years with my last role in a highly successful country band in the Chicago area for nearly a decade. Rounding it all out, I enjoy flying Revolution stunt kites as it offers me an exciting blend of adventure and precision and is unique way to engage with 3D movement and control.
