Responsible for hockey game event definitions, scoring processes & related systems, auditing / accuracy of official game data, puck & player tracking automation, future hockey stats development, NHL EDGE design and development, and all other AI/ML projects & initiatives (AWS).

Responsible for defining the quantification of all aspects of the game of hockey for the National Hockey League - and for working to reach agreement on those definitions with Hockey Operations and Stats & Information. Leading the effort to use automation and machine learning on Puck and Player Tracking data to meet these agreed upon definitions for all major hockey events: Shots, Passes, Carries (individual possession), Area Plays, Defensive Plays, Puck Losses, etc. Work with 3rd party data providers to meet these standards based on their specific timing requirements (real-time / post-game). Provide analytical and/or big data support for Stats & Info, Player Safety, Hockey Operations, IT and other departments within the league.
