As part of the Strategy, Business and Communications Directorate, provide Business Development and Strategic Planning expertise to clinical and corporate divisions across the trust. Currently supporting the Long Term Conditions & Cancer and Pathology Divisions in the development of strategic plans, service developments and tender submissions. Provide expertise around the development of business cases, supporting clinical leads to draft credible, outcomes focussed cases which are cost effective. Project manage both large and small tender submissions, liaising closely with clinicians, internal colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure tenders are delivered in a timely manner.

Part of a small team charged with undertaking key strategic transformation projects, providing leadership and project management over specific workstreams and business as usual functions.Undertook a Future Service Options Review of Kent's Children's Centres and Early Help services, developing a series of options and undertaking the County Council's largest ever consultation. Represented the authority at key consultation events attended by local politicians, MPs, members of staff, service users and other members of the public. Following the consultation exercise, led on the development of a revised workforce model, developing key briefing papers and reports, and led of a restructuring exercise of circa 500 staff. Worked as part of a small team reviewing the Integrated Children in Care and 18+ Care Leaver service. This exercise included the decommissioning of an externally provided service and the integration of the Service for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children with the Children in Care service. My role within this process was principally focussed on developing an effective workforce model, and designing a recruitment and selection process.

Part of the Kent Graduate Programme at Kent County Council on a 2 year management trainee scheme. During this time undertook 3 placements in:Strategic Commissioning (Children's)- Supported the Head of Commissioning in developing streamlined processes and functions. Acted as Project Manger into a full Unannounced Ofsted Safeguarding Inspection, putting in place effective mechanisms in anticipation of inspections, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and acting as the key point of contact during the inspection to both Inspectors and colleagues within the authority. Children's Safeguarding Unit- Undertook a review of Child Protecion conferences and the engagement of multi-professionals at these meetings, supporting the wider Children's Services Improvement Plan post Ofsted inspection. Project Managed a Social Work improvement programme of work as part of wider CPD measures across the authority. Human Resources- Developed services specifications for the Call Referral Management System and Recruitment Management System used by the Council, the first step in the procurement of new integrated systems. Acted as Project Manager for a piece of work seeking to convert Social Workers employed as locums or through an agency on to substantive contracts.
