Plan and buy the commodity materials needed to keep the warehouse full and buy many of the non-stock items for the inside sales people. I dealt with the sales agencies for special quotes and RGAs. I received the material to check in and check into our inventory. Coordinated with other stores for stock transfers and deliveries. Do inside sales for some of our outside sales people. I was given a few customers of my own that I serviced. Trained the new staff on the new operating system we use. Interim operations manger. I would dispatch for our delivery trucks, coordinate our pick ups, and make the necessary communications to the warehouse from the sales team. I answered the customer service calls and occasionally helped at the will call counter. I also ran the monthly inventory cycle counts and found the discrepancies.Sales (Lake Elsinore Branch)Relocated to the Lake Elsinore Branch to pursue a larger sales responsibility. After one month I was given twenty more customers in which I was able to raise profit margin by and average of 10% and grow sales by an average of 20%. After three months my manager requested me to pursue an outside sales position and in a 4 month span I was able to bring in five new customers to the company with one them being a national account. Due to layoffs at my store I needed to spend more time in the office helping run the front sales counter, receiving, shipping, tracking reports, A/R, opening and closing the store. I had to set up the warehouse from a bunch of boxes in shelves to a well thought out and organized system and create an Access based inventory system. For a lengthy period I also did the purchasing for the heavy machinery, painting, and plumbing companies. I was in charge of receiving the materials I bought, getting them organized and ready to ship to the jobsite. I took care of all the shipping and receiving papers as well as the computer transfers for the other employees in charge of job costing. I also projected the large stock orders needed for the warehouse in regards to keeping the "flow" of the warehouse so that it is never too full and never empty. When I was able to, I would help with the estimating of the new jobsites with the electrical estimator as well as help others in the office with minor duties like resolving A/P conflicts, account closings, and other employees purchasing issues with materials.

I would pull and fill jobsite orders as well as any field orders that were submitted. Deliver material to jobsite and stock the job site storage bins. I was also the main person in charge of receiving in and checking material deliveries. I would stock the shelves and keep the warehouse clean and orderly. For two and a half years I was also the person that pulled and delivered all of the Las Vegas branch materials. The last year and half I was there I was also the person in charge of moving the storage bins with a class A license truck and also was relied upon to fill in for the warehouse manger.
