Ten years working in Program Management for California Department of Correction Prison Construction Program providing project management of Architectural and Engineering consultants for various design and construction project throughout the existing California state prison system. Seven years working as Senior Architect with Kitchell's Engineering Architecure Services (EAS) Department providing design, needs assessments, design reviews, constructability reviews, Iife cycle studies, value engineering, energy studies, specification development, master planning and construction inspections.

I arrived in Mogadishu, Somalia in October 1966. From October 1966 to June 1967, I worked as a laiason between the Ministry of Educations, USAID and Peace Corp procuring local building materials and transportation to school construction sites. I also designed the prototypical scholl classromm building and estimated building materails. In the fall of 1967, I was assigned to Mubarak, located southwest of Mogadishu on the Shebelli River, to help the village build a 2 classroom building. I completed that assignment in November 1967. I was reassigned to Cell Bur, a small village, located 250 kilometers northeast of Mogadishu, in the spring of 1968 to help the village build a 4 classom building. I completed that assignment in July 1968. I was reassigned to Dusa Mareb, a small village located 50 kilometers east of Ceel Bur , to help another volunteer complete a 2 clssroom building. Upon completion of that school, my tour of service as Peace Corp Volunteer ended and I returned to the United States.
