Oversee and monitor the work carried out by the EPC contractor and its sub-contractors. • Monitor all mechanical installation activities on coal handling system such as ship unloaders, conveyors, vibrating feeders, wet dust collectors, coal chutes, stacker and re-claimer, and coal crusher machine.• Conduct regular site inspection to ensure that all works are done safely.• Conduct daily site inspection, covering tools and equipment, working areas, site conditions and works in progress.• Inspect the works on site with reference to construction drawing and specification to ensure that all works are done as specified, meeting and exceeding requirements.• Monitor all construction progress against schedule for the previous and next day’s activities on a daily basis.• Track contractors’ resources to establish sufficient availability of resources necessary to keep on target schedule.• Track spare parts needed for each installation activities in advance to ensure good progress.• Record and report quality non-compliances to the superintendent and to the site quality management.• Assess forecast completion dates for access and handover implications, and record these in the standard daily progress report.• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly report to the superintendent.• Conduct construction and final inspection walk down and prepare punch list items for outstanding work to be done. • Perform testing and commissioning activities of installed coal handling system equipment such as ship unloaders, conveyors, vibrating feeders, wet dust collectors, stacker and re-claimer, and coal crusher machine.• Supervise subcontractors on performing maintenance repair of coal handling system equipment for warranty period.
