I assisted in the full integration of the various Utilities International forecasting tools. These tools include a forecast module where functional finance groups input a spend forecast, and asset module to calculate AFUDC, closings to plant and depreciation, and a financial model used to calculate EPS and crest metrics. My responsibilities include reconciling accounts from one module to the other and analyzing the financial statement and day to day maintenance and improvement of the application. In addition, I am automating processes by using Automation Anywhere software with robotics process automation (RPA).

I was responsible for the overall maintenance and improvement of the forecasting tool (UI Utilities International) used by Entergy. I partnered with the functional finance groups to advise on process improvements. I also maintained the logic used in the tool to automate processes. These processes include allocations, amortization calculations, automated payroll forecasting and integration with other systems used at Entergy (PowerPlan, PeopleSoft, etc).

Jackson, Mississippi Area

I was responsible for implementing a new forecasting tool to be used to create a monthly actualized present estimate. My responsibilities included recommending and documenting process changes, testing the system and training users.

Port Gibson, Ms

I was responsible for partnering with the leadership at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station to develop the financial spending plan. I monitored variances to the plan and recommended actions to management.

I was responsible for auditing invoices for accuracy prior to sending them to customers. I was also responsible for ensuring that our customers were informed of their account balances. While in this positions I noticed that I was spending a lot of time querying account balances and sending emails to customers with aging statements. To assist with these duties I integrated our general ledger software with excel and used macros within excel to automate the process of sending the aging statements to all customers.
