Technical Analyst
CurrentIn this role I have been working on a Chevron Upstream project to deploy the application ATR Smart Procedures to 19 business units and over 30 major capital projects. As a technical analyst, I support the IT infrastructure, manage support issues, manage application upgrades, train users, complete project documentation, and travel as required by the project (Nigeria, Scotland, Angola, Kuwait, etc). I have extensive knowledge of the Smart Procedures application and have completed all of the vendor's certifications. In my role, I displaced all of the configuration and application work that the vendor was projected to do, and I am able to configure each database for our customers as needed. The main goal of the project is to standardize the Operating Procedure framework among all of Chevron's Upstream business units, and I was able to support that objective through my knowledge of the application. Working with our OP Advisors, I created a configuration template that is the baseline framework for each deployment and clearly depicts what pieces of the application the business unit can customize. Doing so allows the OP Advisors to enforce procedure standards, and ensures best practices among our procedure writers.
