As the Vice President of Engineering at Prophetic, I lead the ultrasound development efforts for our groundbreaking transcranial neuromodulation headset. Our small, dynamic team is at the forefront of innovation, and I play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product.My responsibilities include spearheading the design and optimization of custom transducer arrays and electronic driving circuits for our neuromodulation headset while ensuring that the arrays emit safe levels of energy, adhering to our own, and the industries, rigorous safety standards.I work closely with our research team to develop IRB-approved studies focused on investigating neuromodulation effects, particularly related to inducing lucid dreaming. This includes interacting with regulatory bodies (including the FDA) to ensure compliance with industry standards and guidelines and championing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout the product development lifecycle.

Headed engineering development of custom ultrasound transducer prototype and custom electronics. Managed consultants and set up lab space for electronic and ultrasound design and testing. Characterized driving electronics and custom ultrasound transducers. Helped setup clinical site and integrated and programmed the ultrasound driving system used in the clinic.

Worked on various ultrasound technologies for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Worked directly with the University's Applied Physics Lab - Center for Industrial and Medical Ultrasound.Projects included: HIFU, thermal ablation, controlled cavitation, histotripsy, aberration correction, kidney, liver, prostate, and hematoma

Projects involved the characterization and application of CMUTs (Capacitive Micromachined Ultrasound Transducers) for high intensity therapeutic applications such as tumor and tissue ablation of the prostate and brain.

• Worked with high throughput (100’s of cells/sec) imaging in flow flow system (similar to flow cytometer) • Analyzed various cellular image attributes to optimize system performance• Aligned, inspected and installed precision optics using autocollimator and interferometer• Troubleshoot software, electrical, microfluidic, and optical issues

• Tested various user interfaces and operation of Spectra Logic’s tape and disk data backup libraries• Worked with hardware, software, and support engineers to resolve engineering and manufacturing defects• Worked with Fibre Channel, SCSI, and iSCSI for SAN and NAS environments
