I started at Mcgills, Johnstone depot as Assistant Engineering Manager and then was shortly promoted to Depot Engineering Manager.As of 24/9/24 I have been transferred as Depot Engineering Manger at Inchinnian depot. It is my plan to raise and develop the depot to the standard I have implemented at Johnstone.

I started with McGills in May 2021 as Assistant Engineering Manager and then was promoted to Depot Engineering Manager officially in December 2022. For a two-month period, I singlehandedly ran the depot prior to my official appointment. Throughout my time at McGills I have nurtured and developed the engineering team through the ideology of preventative maintenance. This involved monitoring spend and budgets, liaising with the stores manager, and developing the workshop manager with daily one to ones. In turn, this has improved vehicle reliability, vastly decreased the volume of breakdowns and has cut the vehicles off road significantly. I have been part of the team that has introduced and managed the electrification development of the Johnstone site and have built great relationships with our partners Zenobe and Pelican. As Depot Engineering Manger I am responsible for all aspects of the depots spend and have to work to set budgets, I manage the vehicles 28/42-day maintenance inspection cycle and MOT programme. I am a strong believer in apprentice development and have utilised one-to-one reviews to aid their development within the engineering team and on a personal level.Starting from the 9th of September, 2024 I have been relocated to Inchinian depot and lead the engineering department and depot facility forward.

Due to internal promotion, I am currently covering the role of engineering manager and assistant engineering manager. I am responsible for the whole engineering department at Johnstone

I left First Group due to work Rota changing. At Scania I developed my mechanical and electrical knowledge on Boats, Buses, trucks and trailers. I became competent in Scania diagnostic repairs via SDP3. I undertook in house Scania training for various courses, such as, H&S, Electrification of vehicles, fuel injection, Euro6 aftermarket system etc.I carried out varies warranty work repairs on WH Malcolm Vehicles - Steering boxes, turbos and first PMI.

Further developing my career within the first group. Looking to advance my current electrical knowledge and become 100% competent in both trades

I left Stagecoach to develop my career within the PSV industry and started my new role as a nightshift mechanical engineer. This further developed my skill set as I was required to work on new vehicles - Volvo b9, Volvo b7, Volvo b7Rle and Scania L94. All of these vehicles are wrights body.

I was transferred from Ayr depot to Ardrossan at my own request in order to further develop myself. I was not long into my 2 year when transferred. At the end of my 2nd I was asked to help out by covering backshifts. At first I’d be in with a qualified technician but due to staff shortages and my skill set I was required to become a shift engineer early. I was the sole mechanic, electrician and coach builder. I overcame numerous problems in order to make fleet in the morning. Also, I had my own trade up apprentice for approx 6months.
