Local Agency Project Manager
CurrentThe Local Agency Unit provides oversight of local agency projects under the Stewardship Agreement with FHWA. This work includes review of plans, specifications and costs estimates for infrastructure improvements. Draft and process intergovernmental-interagency contracts outlining Federal and/or State funding for local agency capital improvement projects. Managing the scope, schedule, and budgets of projects. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for the review and approval of environmental, right-of-way, and utility clearances. Obtaining federal authorization on all phases of the project. Provide guidance and assistance in preconstruction and construction activities from project inception to closure to CDOT, consultant and Local Agency (LA) personnel. Provide through the use of CDOT, consultant, and LA staff, budget, contracts, studies, design and construction plans for the development of transportation improvements in accordance with the CDOT stated mission. Ensure documentation complies with State, Federal, and contract requirements and to review pay quantity documentation for the Region's approved and budgeted local agency construction projects. Provide oversight on all aspects of the construction of projects to provide reasonable assurance of compliance with state and federal regulations. This unit provides instruction and guidance to the construction Project Engineer’s for contract modification orders, preparing “As Constructed” Plans, project pay quantity documentation, contract claim settlement, and project budgets. Engineering and Administrative support is provided to the Region Program Engineers and the RTD.
