Key Responsibilities:• Supervise a team of seven engineering staff providing technical support to 200 ITT staff as well as clients and consultants across Australia and New Zealand.• Design management of the hydraulic performance of large scale pump stations using CFD analysis and physical models.• Supervise design drafting services for ITT Australia and New Zealand.• Troubleshooting ITT’s most challenging product application problems including associated client negotiations. Where necessary, investigations have involved installation of sensors and data loggers to monitor temperature, vibration, power, etc to assist in the identification of the root cause of failures.• Produce and present technical training courses for internal staff, clients, consultants and end-users.• Implementation, management and enforcement of product safety policies and procedures. Chairman of the Product Safety Committee.Key Achievements:• Instrumental in the successful tender for Prospect raw water pump station due to innovative pump station hydraulic design and the ability to generate confidence in the technical solutions offered. 1,450 ML/d pump station with nine pumps each with a 560 kW motor.• Hydraulic design of the Bayswater raw water pump station. 1200 ML/d with two sets of eight series connected pumps each with a 680 kW motor.• Successful management of the hydraulic design of Prospect raw water pump station using physical modelling to provide a more effective solution with reduced construction costs. • Successful troubleshooting of many difficult, high profile jobs utilising high level system and application knowledge.• Produced and presented a three day training course to Tuaranga City Council, Manukau Water, City Care (all from New Zealand), Sydney Water and Wingecarribee Shire Council.• IECEx certification of Flygt submersible products for gas hazardous areas.
