Christopher is a well recognised architect and masterplanner that understands the need to design spaces as well as objects. He concentrates on Place and People as the ultimate “stakeholders”. All design has to be in the best interest of those that we are in service of. The design process is a means to this ends. Christopher has a portfolio ranging from furniture to regional plans. Many of his schemes are of the highest ecological credentials. Notably his masterplan for the growth of two villages in the Czech Republic, The Royal Melnik Park, has a landscape strategy that produces enough edible material to theoretically feed the entire population of the masterplan, including pets and wildlife. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1992 and has worked in Los Angeles and Seattle, where he had his own small practice and won national awards for his residential work. Prior to joining HKR in Dublin he worked for many years in the office of Sir Terry Farrell in London where he was a Project Director and Senior Designer on many large schemes.Additionally, he has served on the advisory board for the School of Architecture in Waterford, and is a founding member of the Czech Green Building Council.Specialties: Urban and Regional DesignArchitectural DesignIndustrial Design
