I have spent my life studying and working on nature and biodiversity. A Fellow of the British Naturalists’ Association, a Chartered Biologist and an ecological consultant, I founded Betts in 1985. If you’re changing land use, Betts ensures you maintain best practice and meet regulations. We help clients with their planning needs and support their obligations to biodiversity. If your development project has green space within it, we can help.BETTS ECOLOGY:Betts Ecology carries out a full range of ecological surveys and EcIA (Ecological Impact Assessment). We’ll also advise you how to mitigate adverse ecological impacts. With over 600 legally protected species in Britain, we’ll help you with fungi, invertebrates, fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, plants and protected habitats. A team of friendly ecological consultants and scientists, we’re ready to help with your project.BETTS ESTATES:If you’re a land developer, planning authorities will want to see evidence of wildlife protection and biodiversity enhancement ahead of approving your plans. This can be a headache for you to put into practice. Betts Estates plans and manages the open space on large housing developments. You can transfer land ownership to Betts, then move on to your next project. You’ll meet your obligations, and we take full responsibility for the open space from there.Betts Estates services public open space for thousands of householders.
