Wildlife Rescue Coordinator
Sterile Services Assistant
Medical Records Administrator
Internally hired on as a Health Records Associate requiring the overall management of Patient Medical Records. The position includes tasks such as responding to Health Record enquires, dispatching/delivery of the records, and ensuring older and unused records are properly distributed to the Record storage facility. The most crucial aspect of this position is rapidly responding to urgent record requests and for maintaining patient confidentiality for the Hawke's Bay community.
Sterilization Technician
Offered and accepted a position with the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board during the start of the COVID-19 lockdown throughout New Zealand. As two of the first full time workers for the nightshift within Sterile Services, my colleague and I provided our experience in helping to provide a relief to the ever-increasing workload given to the morning and afternoon shifts. Together we efficiently started the nightshift processes and created techniques to help increase productivity. Overall, the main services with the sterile team included the cleaning and assembly of a wide variety of instruments and specialty equipment such as gastroscopes and colonoscopes. Once instruments and sets were packaged and sterilized, they were dispatched to designated areas throughout the Hospital and greater Hawke's Bay Region. Sterile Services overall required a great deal of responsibility and communication, whether it was answering calls for orders as well as enquiries or ensuring that the team was working efficiently. They provide an incredibly important service to the community. Whether it be a scheduled procedure or an emergency, Sterile Services is focused on providing the equipment necessary for sophisticated and urgent clinical operations.
Pharmacy Technician
Offered and accepted multiple positions in this General Store and Pharmacy because of my flexibility. As a Designated Hitter, I primarily aided with the front store register sales and often helped with tasks such as closing the store, cleaning workstations, changing sales tags, returning unwanted goods to the proper locations, and stocking the fridge and freezers. As the primary role of Pharmacy Technician, I rapidly served customers from the cash register as well as a drive through window and inputting or sending any information required to establish prescriptions and or insurance profiles from within the pharmacy. Between serving customers, sub-primary tasks included filing medications, scanning patient prescriptions, and correcting a variety of patient insurance database system errors. Another primary role of a Pharmacy Technician required locating, filling, and labeling patient medications and ensuring unused medications were returned to the designated areas. On top of these primary roles, technicians were required to multitask their work at an increased pace in assisting the pharmacists, answering and sending telephone calls to maximize customer service, keeping up to date with current medication information and news, receiving and properly filing medications orders, and finally completing any unusual tasks provided by the pharmacy manager.
Support Staff
Considered a Support Staff member in work for the Elderly while balancing multiple roles. Worked hard at cleaning every residents room in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of standard. Socialized and provided service to the Elderly. Worked in other roles such as Laundry Support and Kitchen Cleaning Support. Provided an ambitious level of detailed cleaning while meeting older friends along the way.
Housekeeper
Stripped and reset rooms for customers. Ensured that rooms were clean, organized, and provided with the correct amenities. Provided towel change services for customers. Provided general maintenance and cleaning procedures for specific sections of the resort, such as the main resort kitchen, showers, and reception. Lastly, occasionally helped the laundry team with providing clean linen for the housekeeping team.
Overnight Stocker
Stocked shelves with merchandise at a fast pace to reach a specific task time. Helped overnight customers to find any product and to have a welcoming visit resulting in a high customer satisfaction rate. Maintained the merchandise and ensured the institution was clean, stocked, organized and tidy.
