Dr. Christopher Binder completed his education with Technical Physics, PhD Degree from the Technical University Graz, Austria. He was employed by General Electric Energy and Hitachi Power Europe and joined ILF Group 2008 working as Project Manager and Senior Process Engineer, mainly related to thermal power plants in China, Middle East Countries, Africa and Europe.As Project Manager he has contributed to the execution of two projects in Saudi Arabia, both simple cycle power plants. Recent assignments include management of OE-, FEED-, and EPC-M-services of CHPPs in Austria and Germany as well as project management for specific engineering services of two simple cycle power plants in Egypt.Dr. Binder has also been responsible for the preparation of different feasibility and comparison studies, concerning coal-, oil- and gas-fired powerplants used by customers for technology selection, economical analyses and other technical and commercial considerations. Besides project management the technical core competences of Dr. Binder are thermodynamic calculations and process engineering for modern combined cycle power plants and related topics such as online performance monitoring and optimization systems.
