Fastmed is the second largest privately-held multi-state/site independent provider of urgent care clinics owned by ABRY Capital Partners. Responsible for overseeing clinic operations and the medical staff comprised of over 1,200 experienced and licensed physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff. In addition to all Operational leadership, direct reports included the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Administrative Officer (HR and Clinical Education), and Chief Information Officer.

Phoenix Baptist Hospital (PBH) is a 221-bed acute care teaching hospital and Arizona Heart Hospital (AZH) is a 59-bed leading cardiac and vascular care hospital. Accountable for day-to-day operations, medical staff development, and strategic growth. Instrumental in Neuro-sciences and Surgical Services physician growth intiatives including an Acute Rehab Unit, EMU, NICO Brain Path program, and DaVinci robotic surgical service line.

ReachOut (RHA) is the largest national provider of administrative support services (DMO) to affiliated dental practices in the mobile dental industry with operations in 24 states. ReachOut’s mission is to facilitate and support access to oral healthcare in underserved segments of the U.S. dental market. In 2012, RHA coordinated dental services to ~500,000 children in more than 8,000 schools. The company is a private equity roll-up of three former regional mobile DMO competitors comprising approximately 1,000 employees.

RehabCare was acquired 6/1/11 creating the largest contract therapy provider in the U.S. with over $1.3B in annual revenue, over 2,000 rehab sites and 23,000 employees in 46 states. The company is comprised of two LOB’s: 1) Skilled Nursing Facility Rehab Services; 2) Hospital Rehab Services (staffing and operational management of LTACH’s and over 200 short-term acute care hospital rehab contracts including IP Med/Surg, OP, Sub-Acute, and IRF’s (hospital-based Acute Rehab Units)).

Peoplefirst was the second largest contract therapy provider in the U.S. with over 700 rehab sites and 9,000 employees in 41 states. Grew annual revenues from $425M to $500M.

Joined Tenet to create and run a dedicated enterprise-wide operating division comprised of free-standing outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC’s) and Diagnostic Imaging Centers (DIC’s). Reported to the COO of Tenet and served as a member of the Senior Operations Leadership Team along with the 4 Regional SVP’s over Tenet’s 55 hospitals. Key direct reports included: VP of Finance, Asst General Counsel, and 7 RVP’s (5 Regional Operations and 2 Business Development leaders). Formed and oversaw two operating Groups: 1) Ambulatory Surgery Group (21 ASC’s in operation); 2) Diagnostic Imaging Group (34 DIC’s in operation)Accountable for strategic and operational leadership of the Division.

Provided strategic and operational leadership for the Western Division, one of twenty geographic divisions company-wide that includes all dialysis centers, peritoneal and acute hospital programs in southern California (Orange and Riverside County), Arizona and Utah. Total budget and P&L responsibility for a $200M+ operation with 50 dialysis centers (approx. 800,000 treatments), 2,000 employees (nurses, patient care technicians, social workers, dieticians, etc..), 50 Center Managers, 6 Regional Directors, Director of Operations, Director of Clinical Services, Manager of Human Resources, Financial Analyst and an Executive Assistant.

General Manager and Outpatient Administrator for all day-to-day operations of the Comprehensive Healthcare Center (i.e. all hospital-based ambulatory care services and clinics) and the Cardiovascular Service Line. Budget and P&L responsibility for approximately $50M in gross patient revenue with leadership responsibility for 7 Nurse Managers (direct reports) and 180 total FTE's. Worked closely with all physician leaders and Department Chairs.
