I am excited to grow in my new role as a Product Review Engineer with IAPMO R&T!Previously, as a Regulatory Compliance Manager at Paragon Water Systems, my primary responsibility was to lead an expert team of Regulatory Specialists tasked with certifying new products, hosting audits, performing recertification activities, and supporting the development of new filtration solutions. I believe my many years at GE Appliances and my strong Engineering background helped me shape the Regulatory group into a versatile, effective Team. Keys to that success were defining roles and responsibilities, fostering cross-functional cooperation, setting clear and achievable expectations, and effective internal and external communication..In addition to those responsibilities, I also performed the duties of a Senior Regulatory Specialist for several key projects. This included developing the deployment, testing and certification strategies for new media and products, initiating and managing performance testing, creating predictive performance models based on existing and new test data, working collaboratively with agencies and their technical groups, and communicating design solutions to customers.Additional activities included working on my Water Treatment Designer Certification through WQA, and participating in several industry boards. I also co-lead/co-founded Paragon Cares, a company wide volunteer group that works to engage employees in activities to network with each other while improving the community around us. We were responsible for planning events and improving company culture across all functions.Prior to Paragon Water, I was a Senior Design Engineer at GE Appliances, including:10+ years of experience across various product lines in the design, development, testing, and qualification of parts and assemblies on large-volume consumer products, with emphasis on safety, quality, and reliability.Seven patent filings from 29 disclosures and certifications in DFSS, DMAIC, Engineering @ GE (ENG@GE), and Foundations of GE Leadership (FoL).Skill sets include 3D modeling with ProE and Solidworks, programming in LabView, Microsoft Office tools, and Weibull ++.
