In my current position I am responsible for giving guidance on the completion of the MNTB Training Record Book, as well as assessing the progress made by each trainee. With approx 1000 trainees sponsored through Clyde Marine Training this can be a daunting task.I am also responsible for preparing annual budgets for our sponsoring companies (over 50) including their own bespoke requirements as well as highlighting their SMarT entitlement. On top of this I am also the Training Officer for the trainees studying at South Shields Marine School in South Tyneside. This involves monitoring all aspects of their training whilst in college and at sea.I am also heavily involved in the recruitment process at CMT. This can involve attending careers events up and down the UK, from Shetland to Southampton, as well as carrying out interviews with applicants. Show less
