Worked as team leader and staff nurse for the combined Medical-Surgical ward, serving US Soldiers, Civilians, and Contractors, Allied forces and Iraqi Government, Police and Military Forces. Patient loads ranged as high as 12 patients and included burn patients, shrapnel wounds, medical emergencies and brain injuries. Duties included patient care, preparation for evacuation or return to duty, coordination with Air Force Evacuation Officers, transferring care to local Iraqi Hospitals, and direct Patient education or education thru an interpreter.
