o My current role involves the direct delivery of works for the MOD which includes boiler house refurbishment/upgrade works, refurbishment of accommodation Elan living quarter blocks, and remedial upgrade works. I manage and oversee these works from project inception up to project handover which includes preliminary/pre start meetings, progress meetings leading through to completion. Sourcing/Procuring & costing materials which may include putting out to supplier tendering if required. Carrying out full health and safety site folders for works inclusive of Risk assessments/Method Statements, COSHH, Hire register, Asbestos Surveys etc and compiling O&M manuals upon completion. Liaising with design architects and clients from start to finish of project to achieve the finished product. Managing, organising and controlling all direct and/or sub contractor labour levels. Driving and delivering the mechanical installation works to specification, drawings, budget and target date. Carrying out daily health and safety checks, permits to work including all relevant job/task specific documentation. Making sure that all works are to program and working alongside various other trades to achieve this. Keeping records of all works throughout the process including meetings/design docs/procurement/tool box talks/plant checks/health and safety/quality control/labour and material costs etc. Sourcing/procuring sub contractors and managing subcontractors and agency operatives as and when required on the projects. I have line manager duties to my operatives which consist of various aspects ie: developing their PDP’s and training requirements and needs, deal with any HR issues and make sure that the correct policies / procedures are followed along with processing holidays, sickness periods and return to work interviews etc.
