I am a recent graduate from Master's of Public Administration program at North Carolina State University. I am currently a Policy Analyst intern for the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center, where I write policy briefs and entries for the Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency. My work involves reading through current and proposed legislation for changes to environmental and energy policies at the local, state, and federal level.I have 10+ years of experience working in the private sector, much of which was spent with FedEx Ground, where my most recent position was an Operations Manager. I was responsible for running the operation of a small-mid sized facility in Asheville, NC. I was in charge of planning for peak season operations and staffing needs, and running the daily operations of a facility with a team of 40+ employees under my direction. Under the leadership of myself and the rest of the management team we consistently met our priority-metric goals month after month, and were regularly in the top 50 facilities company-wide based on our performance. During my time in the private sector I pursued first an Associate's degree at Guilford Technical Community College, and then a Bachelor's in Arts in Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. In my higher education career I have often focused on studying environmental issues like climate change and resiliency, decarbonization of the energy and transportation sectors, and environmental justice. It is now my goal to put my education to work in the fields that I have studied. I am actively pursuing positions political and legislation research. environmental advocacy, the green energy transition, and ocean conservancy. The environment has been my passion since I was a child, and now I want to put my passion and skills to the test to make a difference.
