About Christopher Bolling
I have a proven track record of successes in my 25+ years of legal experience.I have served as the General Counsel in two companies -- one company was a project management, contract management, and business analysis training and consulting company with ties to universities and other other institutes of higher education, and the other company was a small financial consulting company. As the General Counsel, I worked on a wide variety of legal matters, but primarily focused on contracts (procurements), intellectual property law, and labor and employment law. In one IT company owned by the airlines, I managed all legal issues with a business line, all labor and employment law matters -- including benefits , and worked closely with the Privacy and Security team. My work with the Privacy and Security team allowed my to gain experience working with PII, PCI, and PHI.In one quasi-governmental telecommunications company, I managed all legal aspects of the procurement process (which was in many ways identical to the process for federal government procurement) -- including being the Competition Advocate. I also worked closely with the Privacy and Security team and have become proficient in FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST matters. In each company where I have been employed, I have worked to bring efficiencies to the contracting / procurement process, I have managed outside counsel and substantially lowered outside counsel spend, and I have served as the Ethics Officer.I have a great deal of experience with federal contracting because, although two of the companies where I have been employed have been primarily focused on working with the private sector, they were also federal contactors, and another company was a quasi-governmental company that often must follow federal contactor processes. Although I have had many professional successes in my career, I am most proud of:(1) Being one of the primary attorneys involved in the sale of a $1.4 billion training and consulting company;(2) Obtaining approximately 250 copyrights and 20 trademarks/service marks for one company's intellectual property portfolio; (3) Entered into licensing agreements with companies in Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia for one company;(4) Created and/ or improved the contacting process for three companies; and (5) Successfully defended two companies from a total of 36 employment claim. I currently serve as the Senior Manager and Associate General for Procurement (contracts) and Intellectual Property, Ethics Officer, and Competition Advocate at USAC.
Listed skills include Employment Law, Contract Management, Intellectual Property, Legal Writing, and 40 others.
