Conduct training for all Officers, Senior Sailors and junior sailors on the ships emergency systems including all fixed and portable fire fighting equipment.Plan and ensure that all required defect repairs and planned maintenance is conducted to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with multi discipline regulations, ongoing technical training, maintenance of HR records, verbal and written personnel reports and ensuring that maintenance activities are completed to strict timescales.

Organising the acceptance and distribution of maintenance activities relating to Electrical and HVAC. Warrant Officer Marine Engineer
Responsible for the management of the High voltage Propulsion section and its auxiliaries. The ship is full electric propulsion, generating 15MW power between 4 Wartsila Diesel Generators. Supervise the maintenance routines and implement a HV safe system of work to be carried out to obtain maximum power to command at all times. Undertake the organisation of all ship propulsion trials during pre and post upkeep and whilst at sea. Liaise with command on the most economical use of main engines to achieve maximum fuel efficiency and plan all fuelling requirements. Overall responsibility for operator training and qualification at MEOOW1 and 2. Second in command for all Marine Engineering training from junior rate to Officer, organising, writing and sitting on all operator and professional Fleetboards. HV Authorised person in Control, undertook duties of Authorising Engineer for first RN HV platform refit.Oversee the organisation for all onboard HV training to both Military and civilian personnel. Carry out duties as Officer of the Day. Undertake the duty of DCO’L’ for NBCD Duties at sea and form the electrical cover for the Standing sea emergency party.
