About Christopher Bowling
I strive to have a positive impact on the lives of everyone I meet. I have done this through direct assistance and support, research, and education. As a direct service provider I responded to the needs of those struggling with housing instability, food insecurity, sexual oppression, underemployment, and child abuse. As a researcher I sought to explore and understand the experience of those who live on the economic margins of society. As an educator, I have created opportunities for K-8th graders to reflect on social justice issues and helped college students to discover how they can craft life-giving experiences for others. Currently I train child welfare workers to empathetically respond to the multidimensional needs of the children and families they serve.
