Directly responsible for investigating all accidents, incidents, and near misses and collecting and reporting all witness statements, photos, root cause analysis, and final incident reports. Assisting the individual project managers as well as the quality control dept. Also responsible for ensuring that all required documents are collected and submitted to general contractors, or owners of the projects.

Oversee all contractors’ safety and compliance with Markwest and OSHA safety requirements, DOT regulations and environmental standards. Review and approve work history and safe work procedures prior to work. Oversee all live line stopples and hot taps. Coordinate hot work on live well pads and near above ground features.

Enforce OSHA compliance while maintaining a safe work environment through hazard training and hazard recognition, hazardous material training, competent person training, equipment and operator training, annual refresher training, weekly safety meetings, site audits and inspections, confined space monitoring, potential hazardous area monitoring, maintain records and documentation, incident and accident prevention and investigations.

Directly responsible for staff recruitment, new hire orientation, drug screening, craft specific training, conduct inspections within the suspended scaffold in the boiler, area health and safety inspection of all work areas, order materials and supplies, maintain environmental and incident records, monitor confined space entry, health and safety of all employees, safety administration functions, prepare historical documentation, OSHA compliance and plant compliance.

Evaluate work through all phases, order parts and equipment, plan and schedule maintenance work, and conduct mine specific hazards training.
