My duties varied depending on the time of month and day of the week. I occasionally filled in as a waiter or bartender when necessary however, I spent most of my time taking care of more administrative details. I was in charge of payroll, order and stock management. Advertisement and Promotions were also among my duties.

Fort Collins, Colorado Area

: Preparing and managing catering orders, managing a staff of line employees and keeping track of sales for the day. Other financial responsibilities included labor and cost of goods sold as well as matching up sales and preparing for the following quarter. I also prepared cooked goods for the full day of general meats, soups, paninis and other baked goods. I cut vegetables and made the dressings from scratch for each day, closed shop, Took inventory and filled out truck orders for the following shop delivery day.

Grand Junction, Colorado Area

As an intern I learned a wide variety of jobs and undertook a large amount of responsibility in many fields. I learned basics revolving around an American financial institution working as a Teller initially. I also undertook responsibilities as a book keeper which involved work in payroll, customer negotiations with NSF funds, overseeing potential fraudulent activity in customer accounts. I helped manage currency exchanges, paperwork for asset exchanges as a loan servicer. I was also able to undertake a small amount of responsibility under the main auditor and compliance officers. These rolls gave me a chance to see how a bit more of how the rules and regulations of a commercial bank operate and interact with customers and other institutions.

As a front line worker I had personal interactions with customers in taking and making orders. As a prep cook I worked in the back slicing and cooking the meats and vegetables using an industrial deli slicer for the meats. As an assistant manager I had responsibilities around managing a small staff each evening and closing shop. I kept track of finances for the day and counting and leveling the cash drawer. I took inventory filled out truck orders for shop deliveries.
