Service Technician
CurrentRecruited by the Indiana Apartment Association to be admitted into the IAA Career Pathways: Service Technician Program. The program is designed to prospect, train, and place new talent into the multifamily industry and match candidates with a property management company for full-time job placement. The program consisted of both classroom education and a 30-day hands-on apprenticeship. The topic during the classroom portion were:1. Intro to the Multifamily Industry2. Basics of Electrical Repair3. Basics of Appliance Repair4. Basics of Plumbing5. The Make Ready Process6. Fair Housing for Maintenance7. Customer Service The 30-day apprenticeship was then onsite with a property management company where information in the classroom was applied hands-on. Following the apprenticeship, candidates are eligible for full-time hire with that company.
