CurrentAs a proactive change management leader, I oversee one of Kaiser Permanente's most prominent Unit Based Teams (UBT) in Southern California, focusing specifically on optimizing operations within the Zion Emergency Department. With a team of 3 co-leads, 15 RG members, and approximately 300 team members, we drive initiatives geared towards enhancing quality of care, service excellence, workplace satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness through the application of lean six sigma methodologies.Accomplishments:- Spearheaded the 'Hovermatt Exchange Project,' resulting in annual savings of $24,000 through strategic cost-saving measures.- Successfully implemented the 'Safe Patient Handling Project,' resulting in a 25% reduction in injuries and annual savings of $70,000.- Elevated Kaiser Zion ED Unit Based Teams from level 1 to 4, achieving superior levels of functionality and performance.- Pioneered as the first ER-tech elected as Unit Based Team Co-lead for Kaiser Zion Emergency Department.Responsibilities:- Application of lean six sigma practices and tools including DAMIC structure, SMART Goals, rapid improvement model, fishbone diagrams, etc., to drive continuous improvement initiatives.- Conduct data analysis to inform business decisions, identify project risks, and drive evidence-based improvements.- Develop and oversee project plans, including the creation of proposals and management of project activities.- Deliver internal staff training sessions on new practices, rules, and procedures to ensure effective implementation.- Foster organizational alignment by collaborating with upper management to address departmental needs and requirements.- Engage in strategic planning activities to assess project challenges and develop solutions that align with quality, satisfaction, and efficiency goals.
