I’m an experienced producer, writer and executive with a journalism training who will bring passion, organization and an appetite for story and character to any team. Currently (Nov 2018) Supervising Story Producer and writer for a six hour A+E Originals investigation into a secret unit at the Pentagon that had for years been studying unidentified aerial phenomena encountered near US military vessels.Previously this year I was Senior Producer and lead writer for a new Smithsonian investigative series, America's Hidden History, digging into iconic US stories, including hours on Jamestown, the Salem Witch Trials, Pearl Harbor and the Cold War. Produced by Lone Wolf Documentary Group.Before that (2016) I was a senior producer and lead writer for the award-winning series Ocean Warriors following frontline activists battling to save the world’s oceans. Produced by Brick City TV, Sundance Productions, Vulcan Productions and Animal Planet. Winner, Best Limited Series Jackson Hole 2017 For several years I ran History Detectives for PBS, excavating stories from US history, collaborating with an outrageously talented team of producers, editors, hosts, and fellow executives at Lion TV, OPB and PBS. For almost a decade we delivered some of the most engaging and best-reviewed television, on schedule, on budget and to consistently high ratings. In Central America I reported on Guatemalan army human rights abuses for the BBC and NPR, and was part of a team at PBS that won Polk and Hillman awards with the late, great Jonathan Kwitny.My 2004 book The Fluoride Deception is a riveting story of poisoned American workers, epic public relations duplicity, and features a spectacular cast of public heath heroes and corporate arch villains. It was funded in part by the Fund for Investigative Journalism and I was fortune to have Dan Simon and Seven Stories Press as my publisher. I'm always on the lookout for great content to work on.
