Ensured that the District met the industrial permit program requirements of the industrial pretreatment program by tracking new permit and permit renewal due dates by sending out permit applications and renewal notices. Tracked receipt of self-monitoring reports and reviewed them for completeness & compliance. Performed industrial facility inspections, including associated reports, database updates and other associated items. Promptly identified and sent appropriate violation notices with required corrective actions/additional sampling needed to avoid significant noncompliance. Tracked compliance status of industries within the EPA-defined review period and took appropriate escalated enforcement actions when needed. Assigned & reviewed staff’s correspondences, reports and documentation.

Worked with Manufacturing, Product Supply Team, and with suppliers to minimize production down time. Made buying decisions considering the financial impact for the corporation. Managed changes caused by corporate/production direction and vendors.

Worked on three liquid filling production lines in the Liquids Department. Lead the Safety Committee for the department. Implemented a Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program for all pieces of equipment in the Liquid Department. Completed several projects to reduce waste to become a “Green” manufacturing plant.

Worked with well-known companies to fabricate new products. Assisted customers in developing aerosol, liquid, and dry packaging products. Modified initial product formulations to achieve desired results; filled aerosol, liquid, and dry samples as requested by customers. Performed and analyzed can corrosion studies. Worked directly with vendors to ensure selected components met equipment and material specifications.

Managed evening-shift operations within the production plant’s analytical lab. Enforced standards and ensured adherence to proper procedures and techniques to ensure safety and accuracy. Analyzed and conducted microtesting of raw materials, formulated batches, and finished products to ensure quality; assisted the formulation department in identifying and resolving problems with formulated batches. Performed maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of analytical equipment.
