PhD Researcher at Macquarie University Specialising in imaging technologies and their applications, with a background in mechanical engineering. I have experience in the design and application of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), Optical Coherence Tomograhy (OCT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems. My research has utilised these modalities to investigate the characteristics of inhaler devices and their interactions with the human upper airways. The research conducted is primarily experimental with some simulations for verification of certain results. Work experience Macquarie University Casual Teaching: - Mech4001 Product Design Engineering- Mech2003 Mechanical Design 1- ENGG1000 Introduction to Engineering(3M internship):- Developed extensive solid works drawings for both training and application purposes- Direct role in securing a $500K sale with development of manufacturing drawings- Designed, procured and assembled a tensile peel tester attachment for an Instron machine, this effectively halved the required testing times for the testers.\Phd Research- MRI was used to determine the effects of inhaler mouthpiece size on the presenting human upper airway geometries.- PIV was used to analyse the fluid mechanics of a reconstructed airway, developed from the MRI study. - An OCT scanning jig was designed and implemented to analyse the regional deposition patterns through the upper airway when using dry powder inhaler devices.

Interned for 3M in the Technical department, I was based in the Industrial adhesives and tapes division (IATD) where I headed projects to improve testing methodology of the tapes and adhesives with different substrates, developed training modules for staff at the company conference pertaining to new products ( basically equipping the sales staff with the appropriate knowledge to represent the new product to distributors consumers or industry experts) this was accompanied by animated videos developed through Solidworks. I also developed manufacturing drawings depicting the correct application of fire barrier duct wrapping, this helped to secure a $500K sale for the division. There were also a number of miscellaneous tasks carried out to aid work flow of other members in the division.
