Starting in the advertising business in Southern California in the early 90s, Christopher Burkhardt went on to publish national magazine titles before partnering with the Professional Bull Riders organization in Colorado Springs, which he helped establish and was their official publisher for 16 years. For the past decade he has been promoting various music and art events in Southern California and Las Vegas. Bolsa Chica Land Trust is a long-term client for whom he has produced publications supporting their efforts to keep the Huntington Beach wetlands pristine and undeveloped.As a tennis tournament director at Palisades Tennis Club, he has been running multiple-league tournaments in a fun and competitive format called the Palisades Club League. He also publishes their annual Palisades Yearbook and other publications, while organizing fundraisers and playing a lot of competitive tennis.In November, 2013, he was appointed Director of Memberships for the venerable tennis club, and is working with ownership developing the marketing, entertainment and member benefits at the former John Wayne Club. 2014 marks their 40th year as a private tennis club, which is partnered with the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach as a destination resort.
