I currently work as a trainer and Section Leader at the Trader Joes grocery store in retail. I have worked closely with my mangers to help not only enhance our training program, but also enhance the sales in the Frozen goods section in the store. The Frozen goods secton is what I oversee and it brings in about 15% of our daily sales. In my duties as a section leader I order all necessary goods need to keep the section full of product and prepare us for the next day of sale. I also merchandise any new products and coordinate employee tastings to help make sure that my coworker can properly inform customers on all items.

I worked at Tradesman Brewing Company for a little over two years starting as a bartender and then moving into management and assist brewing. While I was working at the brewery I learned how to not only enhance the customer experience at the bar, but also how to coordinate with local companies for events with out Event Manager and Marketing Manager. I worked a few events for the company even going to other parts of the state to showcase our beer to newer markets to help increase sales. During the time I was helping to manage the bar I expressed an interest in the brewing process. The brewing team allowed me to learn how to not only cellar the beer, and clean the kegs, but eventually how to brew. This further enhanced my knowledge about the beer in house and all over allowing me to better my customer service overall.

I worked as an order coordinator and Wine sales personnel for the Crushed Fine Wine shop which is no longer open due to the owners retirement. I work the Point of Sale as well as open and closed the store as need for the owner. During my time there I learned more about wine and tried to increase my knowledge of the wine industry to increase sales. On Friday nights the owner and myself would help the local distributors run wine tastings to showcase their product by bringing in our clients over a multitude of hours.

I worked as a Front Desk Agent at Charleston Harbor and Marina. During my time there I helped to work with and coordinate multiple different aspects of Front Desk life from making sure rooms were clean to insuring that celebratory items were left in guest rooms. We worked not only with the sales department, but also our recreation department, food staff and event staff. I learned how to manage high intensity situations and coordinate sales with different departments to enhance our guest stays. Beyond those duties I also helped train most of the Front Desk staff and Bellmen who were still there when I left to pursue another career opportunity.

I worked at the Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. and Disney a Retail Event called Star Wars Weekends. I worked as stock, POS operator, and Merchandise Runner. During my time with the Emporium we set the world record in theme park sales for an afternoon. I dealt with high intensity crowds and long hours to insure guest satisfaction. After my time at the Emporium I was offered a chance to work with the event staff in money handling and retail sales. I worked both the Star Wars Weekends fan events and the Food & Wine Festival events. During these times I coordinated with many higher end customers such as executives and celebrities. These experiences set the ground work for how a customer should be handled and how to handle any kind of situation that may happen in large crowds.
