About Christopher Burns

Started my career working in the security alarm industry. I worked over 17 years for an alarm company near Chicago Illinois that installed alarms in homes and businesses. While working there I moved from an installation technician to a manager in the company and developed my customer service, problem solving and management skills. In 2005, we decided to move to Cincinnati Ohio and I took a position with Protection One, where I continued to gain more alarm industry experience. In 2007, my wife had the opportunity to take a full-time job and we decided that I would stay home to take care of the kids. Later in 2012, I had the opportunity to work for CertSkills with Wendell Odom. Here I proofread training materials, created power points and assisted with web-casts. In addition, I had the responsibility for creating blog posts and responding to questions, related to the training materials.
