In this multifaceted role I manage supply chain operations across Europe, personnel allocation for UK logistics operations and maintain and manage an amphibious landing capability and associated assets. I lead a team of four including Assistant Director, UK Operations Manager, International Operations Manager and Assistant ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.Project managing the transport of people and equipment to ports across the world, this often involves up to 8 taskings a month with teams of 6 to 20. I manage multiple complex international stakeholders including international port authorities, Government Departments, Ministries and haulage contractors to ensure smooth transportation.I also oversee a team of four coordinating the allocation of 150 personnel managing UK logistics operations to optimise skills and productivity across the UK in handling cargo operations. Additionally, I manage ship-to-shore amphibious landing capability for 8 vessels and equipment ensuring maintenance, servicing and readiness to deploy anywhere in the world.I re-designed the operations business model for the team of 150 in an 8-month project that significantly improving readiness to deploy and optimisation of resources. Employee retention has been improved by 30% over 24 months through enhancing the employee experience with improved accountability, accreditation training and improved benefits.

I spent time managing port operations in Southampton and was also deployed to locations across Europe as the UK ramped up operability with NATO partners and conducted joint supply chain operations. I led a project team that managed the withdrawal of 340 people and 120 vehicles from locations across Europe prior to the Covid pandemic, successfully achieved prior to the first lock-down. Additionally, I project managed a 16 day expedition to Chile securing funding and then coordinated the planning and management that included trekking in extremely remote regions.

In this role I managed the transport and shipping of supplies and equipment for UK forces in Cyprus and in support of operations in the Middle East. I led strategic supply chain capability and developed quality, health, safety and environmental management systems to comply with government and EU legislation.I managed a diverse range of stakeholders across Europe and the Middle East to ensure the smooth and timely transportation of supplies internationally. This included leading a team of 5 providing heavy lifting capability for the RAF to ensure swift deployment of aircraft as needed. I also project managed the rescue of two refugee boats off the coast ensuring the safe arrival and welfare of over 50 families including women and children.

I managed a team of 36 with responsibility for readiness to deploy within 24 hours of an amphibious task group. I ensured engagement and motivation of the team with training, coaching and mentoring. Additionally, I established supply chain operations at key locations across the Middle East significantly improving agility in movement of people and equipment.

Here I led strategic operations for all civilian and military cargo passing in and out of the Islands including managing a team of 40 and over 20 contractors to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery. I managed total supply chain solutions for a civilian population of over 5000 and 500 military personnel across all islands in the Falklands.I conducted a feasibility study into port operations that retained the contract for MoD to manage the port. I then project managed a new business model that significantly improved the efficiency of port operations. I also led the initial stages of a project to invest in significant improvements to port infrastructure including jetty enhancements, new handling area and storage facilities.I rejuvenated frayed relationships between local government and the MoD enabling improved cooperation and communications and smoother supply chain operations.
