Christopher Butcher Email and Phone Number
I am a rising senior at Princeton University pursuing a B.A. in Neuroscience with minors in Global Health & Health Policy and African American Studies. My senior thesis will focus on neuroepigenetics, exploring how environmental factors influence gene expression and contribute to health disparities, particularly among African American children. By examining mechanisms like DNA methylation and histone modifications, I aim to develop a framework for understanding cognitive and neurological disparities and inform targeted interventions and policies. My professional experience includes a global health internship with Child Family Health International, followed by internships at McKinsey & Company, Harvard Medical School / Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Law, Brain & Behavior and Latham & Watkins LLP. At Princeton, I founded and led the Generational African American Students Association and have been actively involved in advocacy through the Black Student Union and SPEAR. I have also volunteered as an EMT and in emergency departments at Hackensack University Medical Center and Englewood Hospital. I have accepted an offer to return to McKinsey & Company at the New York office full-time.
