Fonexco Group Ltd (formerly Fonexco Ltd) v Manches (A Firm) [2010] EWHC 493 (QB);acting for an insurer in respect of the declinature of policy coverage and subsequent claim under the Third Parties (Rights Against Insurers) Act 1930; defending a Jersey trust company in respect of claims relating to the allocation of trust assets following the sale of a well know designer brand; andadvising a firm of energy consultants in relation to a multimillion pound claim relating to energy forecast discrepancies.Constructionassisting a firm of architects in respect of a claim arising from the development of three high end luxury residential properties. This was a highly complex architect's claim, made more so by the number of parties involved; defending a claim on behalf of a firm of architects in relation to the construction of a school boarding house (substantial consideration of policy coverage was also undertaken); acting for a cladding engineer in relation to a claim arising from alleged defects at a central London office building;advising a glazing design company in respect of allegations relating to defects in its design, manufacture and installation of a glazing system at a large residential building in Wales; anddefending claims against surveyors as a result of inaccurate property valuations provided to lenders.Specialties: Professional risk
