I lead and serve one of the largest fraternal communities in the country. The community consist of 50 chapters that belong to our 4 councils.

Student Academic Success Instructor- Serve as instructor for Student Academic Success courses that enable students who are having academic challenges to receive instruction, guidance, and resources that will enhance their academic experience at the university- Develop lesson plans, activities, schedule instructor meetings, and provide opportunities for students to successfully matriculate towards graduationAcademic Success Coach- Serve as academic coach (55 students) for the Academic Contract for Excellence program by helping students achieve the following learning objectives; intellectual and practical skills, personal and social responsibility, and integrative and applied learning- Assist students as they examine their role as lifelong learners through exploration of their personal strengths and an introduction to resources, skills, and competencies essential to make informed decisions that will assist in accomplishing academic success at the university- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, meeting, and office planning- Facilitate group sessions with Academic Contract for Excellence students UNCG Guarantee Mentor/Advisor - Serve as mentor for the UNCG Guarantee program which provides financial, academic, social, and professional support to first-generation minority students- Assist with executive level strategic planning - Represent the office on university committees and task force

As the Junior Experience Coordinator I am responsible for the research, creation, and implementation of programs and services for juniors at UNCG. In this position I assist in positively affecting the career readiness issues of Junior level students by implementing additional services on top of already developed programming and resources provided by CSC to prepare juniors for their remaining time at the university. As a dedicated professional I have achieved several accomplishments thus far, such as the highest student attendees at an event, highest student RSVP's to an office event, and the overall improvement of specific programming for a specific student population. Specific duties and responsibilities include:- Research, create, and implement junior specific programming- Provide career coaching services to Juniors - Develop and present presentations around the topics of interviewing, the internship search, resume development, and branding.- Assist with executive level strategic planning for junior level services

Applied and was selected for the Southern Education Foundation Leadership Initiative fellowship program. The program has an acceptance rate of about 10% making it one of the most competitive opportunities in the country for young scholars. The fellowship will enhance my skill-set, knowledge, and network as I continue onward and upward of becoming a higher education professional. This summer I will serve as a fellow at the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities in San Antonio, Texas. This work will focus on researching and developing policy analyses on Hispanic Serving Institutions’ (HSI) student success, developing policy briefs, fact sheets, and data sets on HSI demographics and access to federal and state aid and scholarship opportunities. Specific duties and responsibilities include;- Provided information support for programs and advocacy efforts by compiling, data mining, and data warehousing HSI data from the Integrated Post secondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and other national databases;- Assisted in the development of policy briefs, fact sheets, and data visualization of HSI demographics to provide a more complete portrait of HSIs that will assist in the research, advocacy and programmatic efforts of the organization to increase HSI awareness and support;- Evaluated, researched, and integrated the varied academic policy research relating to key issues that directly or indirectly, impact HSIs and Latina/o higher education student success;- Researched the impact of reduced federal and state education funding on the growing HSI community;- Assisted the Director of Research and Information through various projects in support of the Office of Policy Analysis and Information.
