CHRISTOPHER M. CANDON is an attorney at Sheehan Phinney Bass & Green PA in Manchester, New Hampshire and Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of the Management Committee and serves as the Chair of the Corporate Department. Mr. Candon focuses his practice on the problems of financially distressed companies, representing debtors, creditors, committees, purchasers, landlords and trustees in out-of-court restructurings, Chapter 11 reorganizations and Chapter 7 liquidations. He also has experience in the negotiation and documentation of key business contracts and complex commercial transactions, including secured and unsecured financings, letters of credit, DIP and exit financing transactions. Mr. Candon maintains a business litigation practice that involves all aspects of bankruptcy law, including contested plan confirmation, relief from stay, valuation, cash collateral and DIP financing hearings, fraudulent transfer and preference litigation. Mr. Candon has completed the ABI/St. John's University bankruptcy mediator training program. He serves as a mediator in state and federal civil litigation as well as provides mediation services in bankruptcy cases.Mr. Candon is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and New York, and before the United States District Courts for the District of Massachusetts, the District of New Hampshire and the Southern District of New York, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the First and Third Circuits. He is a member of the Boston Bar Association, the New Hampshire Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is a past recipient of the Denis Maguire Pro Bono Award from the Volunteer Lawyers Project in Boston.
