Co-owned and managed this company which worked with Medicaid patients.• Management – Responsible for running all aspects of the business and was the point person for all interactions with employees, clients, state regulators, insurance companies (MCOs), and local agencies. I played an essential part in creating a successful and profitable business that retained clients and employees in a low-wage, low-benefits atmosphere.• Communications – Designed content for the company website as well as all company brochures and advertising. Successfully created the company's online presence and literature for increased company outreach. • Compliance - Ensured compliance with all Texas Medicaid program regulations and Texas Health and Human Services licensing requirements. Played an integral part in the company receiving 100% on the last survey/audit and, in the previous 10 years, received 90% or more on all compliance and licensing audits. • Human Resources - Spearheaded all HR-related matters, including payroll, hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring employee performance, enforcing disciplinary actions, coaching, and responding to all unemployment claims. Provided a reliable and straightforward work environment that enticed the employees to find higher meaning in their work in the face of smaller pay and the difficulties of the pandemic.• Data Base Monitoring - Updated and organized on a regular basis all information from the state-mandated call system database that tracked client information, employee schedules and call logs. • Customer Service - Oversaw all aspects of onboarding new clients.
