Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and the Hobbits from Lord of the Rings became an example for me to follow at an early age. I copied the determination of Frodo Baggins, strove for the bravery of Samwise Gamgee, enjoyed the humor of Peregrin Took, and sympathized with the loyalty of Merry Brandybuck. Every since 7th grade, I had a passion for Science and Math. I would spend hours developing hypothetical problems for fictional universes. What would the sharpness and hardness of Narsil need to be to cut Sauron's fingers? What is the One ring to "rule them all" made of? These types of questions lead me to pursue chemistry throughout all of high-school and well into College through the Chemical Engineering program at Rowan University.This pursuit of knowledge and hypothetical's transferred to areas of bio mechanics, semi-permeable membranes, and catalyst production. It was through Rowan's research programs I was able to learn many aspects of polymer structures, porosity, activation zones, and catalytic reactions. What I learned in these research endeavor's became a passion outside of my Chemical Engineering curriculum. So, now, this pursuit of knowledge continues but has taken a new form. When pursuing my Master's in Engineering Management, I wanted to learn more about project construction, team building, and management.
