I am a career Surface Warfare Officer who designated as a Defense Acquisition Workforce Professional in May 2022 and hold a Practitioner Certification in Program Management. I currently serve as the Principle Assistant Program Manager for the Expeditionary Fast Transport Shipbuilding Program (ACAT IB) in PEO Ships Strategic and Theater Sealift Program Office (PMS 385). In this capacity, together with the Program Manager, I manage the cost and schedule performance of a $3 billion shipbuilding portfolio currently executing the post-delivery, test and trials for two battle force assets, the USNS Apalachicola (EPF 13) and the USNS Cody (EPF 14); the production of two EPF Flight II ships under construction and the detailed design and construction contract for three Expeditionary Medical Ships (EMS). Prior to this assignment, I served as Assistant Program Manager, Fleet Introduction for the Arleigh Burke Shipbuilding Program Office (ACAT 1C). In this role, I managed the cost and schedule performance of the Flight III Destroyer’s supply support, manpower, and training elements and ensured fleet readiness to maintain, operate, train, and sustain the Navy’s newest preeminent surface warship on day one post-delivery.Prior to entering the Acquisition’s Community, I completed multiple at-sea assignments spanning operations across every ocean and multiple seas. My sea duty assignments include tours as Commanding Officer and Executive Officer onboard USS Carney (DDG 64), Operations Officer in Commander, Destroyer Squadron Fifteen, Chief Engineer on USS Mustin (DDG 89), Gunnery and Force Protection Officer on USS Halsey (DDG 97), and Main Propulsion Officer on USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG 60). Ashore, I completed assignments as Bahrain Liaison Officer and Surface Exercise Planner at Commander, Naval Forces Central Command and Surface Warfare Officer Detailer (PERS-41) and Allocation and Statistics Branch Head (PERS-45) for the Bureau of Navy Personnel Command.I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Science Degree in Systems Technology from the Naval Postgraduate School. I am also a member of the Surface Navy Association.
