I enlisted as a basic Military Policeman and served as a sentry, patrolman, dispatcher, desk sergeant, patrol supervisor, and watch commander at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort, SC and Cherry Point, NC before I was selected as an apprentice investigator with the Criminal Investigation Division (CID). After completion of requisite training, I completed a seven year assignment as a Marine Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) at MCAS Cherry Point, NC and Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton, CA. Upon completion of my tour with NCIS, I returned to CID as the Central Precinct Chief at MCB Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan. Thereafter, I completed back to back assignments as the Chief Investigator at MCAS Yuma, AZ and MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. On June 30th, 2018, I will complete my military career and transfer to the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve (FMCR) pending retirement. During my military career I completed two deployments to Aviano Air Base, Italy in support of Operations Decisive Edge and Joint Endeavor; one deployment to Port Au Prince, Haiti in support of peacekeeping operations; one deployment to the Al Anbar Province, Iraq in support of OIF; and two deployments to Khorat, Thailand in support of the Cobra Gold Asia-Pacific military exercise. Personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (x3), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (x2).
