With my 27+ years in telecommunications at this point having a balance of installation, technical & managerial competencies, I was able to deliver the whole design and pricing package to sales.

UCC's purchase of Kama Communications, required that an SE be on board for the Mitel brand. I provided technical presales support to a relatively green sales team and was instrumental in selling one of the first Mitel 3300's to a Rochester NY based company. I researched, product hardware and software to assist sales with optimal solutions, taking into consideration customer expectations and cost. My field experience provided me with the knowledge to estimate labor for all installations. With my proven experience and know-how in the design of new systems, integrating applications as well as my knowledge of upgrades and migrations from older TDM to new IP based platforms, I was a natural fit.

Provided technical support including design/pricing on PBX, voicemail, call accounting, networking all peripheral device platforms & applications along with voice/data cable plant, for company wide sales force. Responsible for technical support on sales calls & qualification of customer opportunities. Developed price quote spreadsheet templates to promote pricing competency. Provided strong analytical skills as well as detail orientation. Provided Visio drawings as necessary. I managed the installation of major projects from Buffalo to Rochester. As Operation manager I successfully managed the operations department for Buffalo including 9 union employees with day to day support, scheduling with MS Project software, with interface to all company departments to provide timely information for staffing, time sheets, installation status based on work objectives and projections.

I worked at 3 different companies during this time frame. Over the years I have succeeded in staying current with the ever changing technological landscape. However, having the benefit of an extraordinary depth of knowledge in communications during my "formative" years, exposed me to absolutely all facets of the business I have loved for some 35 years.
