Responsible for the operational & technical support of the organization's LMS and for the creation of highly engaging, interactive learning assets in various formats such as ILT, VILT and others using e-learning design tools.

Responsible for managing four support areas (Media Services, Instructional Technology, Simulations and IT Service Desk).Media Services provides support and maintenance of all audio and visual equipment (classrooms, conference rooms, digital signage, labs, simulators and event set-ups).Instructional Technology provides support, maintenance and training of the learning management system Blackboard Learn and several other instructional tools used by faculty, students and staff. Simulations provides the support and maintenance of all the Academy simulators used by Marine Transportation, Marine Engineering, Emergency Management, and International Maritime Business.MMA Service Desk provides Tier 1 technology support for the entire academy. Support channels include a self-service portal for incidents, service requests and knowledge-base articles, walk-up Service Desks, phone call support and email ticket creation.

Responsible for all phases of operation, maintenance and support of the simulation systems on campus. Develop procedures to achieve and maintain the highest level of quality control for the simulation systems. Collaborate with faculty to develop simulation exercises and scenarios to support experiential learning. Manage the services that support collaboration, learning and communication technologies for faculty, students and staff. Work at the intersection of teaching and technology and develop scalable and sustainable solutions across the Academy. Responsible for all aspects of instructional technology, including classroom technology, the Academy’s learning management system, conference room audio/visual equipment and digital signage. Work with faculty to plan, design, develop and revise course materials for undergraduate and graduate students in an on-line environment.Develop training materials including self-help documents, online tutorials, and other multimedia materials to assist faculty and students with the use of course management tools and other technologies.Provide leadership and management to professional staff members. Lead successful projects or varying scope and size, ensuring on time and on budget completion.

Manages and maintains the instructional technology on campus. This includes classrooms, conference rooms, labs, lecture halls, and other building spaces. Project Manager for Instructional Technology implementations and upgrades.Administrator for campus LMS (Blackboard Learn), Lecture Capture (Panopto), Adobe Connect, Cisco Webex, Atomic Learning, Lynda.com and Visix Digital Signage. Provides support and training to staff and faculty on various instructional technologies (software and hardware). Uses Instructional Design practices to support faculty face-to-face, fully- online and hybrid courses.
