Chris Chamberlain currently serves as Vice President of Emergency Management for the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, where he works to support hospitals, post-acute facilities, and public health emergency preparedness across more than 235 member organizations in the state. A seasoned emergency professional, Chris regularly provides emergency management consultation and response services to healthcare system clients across both Pennsylvania and the United States. Prior to his current role, Chris served as HAP’s regional manager of emergency preparedness, providing operational and administrative management to the healthcare coalitions in Pennsylvania. He has over twenty-five years of clinical and emergency management experience with several Pennsylvania healthcare systems as an emergency preparedness coordinator, flight nurse, emergency department manager, and nursing educator. Additionally, Chris has served in various roles including firefighter, paramedic, fire command officer, and instructor and continues to maintain certification in these areas. Chris received his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Lycoming College and his Master's Degree in Disaster Medicine and Management from Philadelphia University, now Thomas Jefferson University.  He is an alumnus of the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Alabama. He is recognized by the International Board for Certification Services and Management as a Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) and by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a certified Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse. He is a certified Fire Officer and holds an Extra Class FCC Amateur Radio License.
