Provides legal advice and counsel regarding cross-border labor and employment matters for a multi-manager multi-strategy investment firm across jurisdictions such as, without limitation: Illinois, New York, California, Texas, Florida, Ontario, Calgary, England and Wales, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and the DIFC.Provides advice and counsel regarding federal, state and local workplace laws in all jurisdictions noted above including: Wage and hour issues, leave management, and disability accommodation issues; reviewing handbooks and policies for compliance; immigration concerns for a multi-national business; investigation into claims of workplace misconduct; and such other ad hoc duties as may be required by the business from time to time. Drafts, reviews and negotiates employment and separation agreements, with a specialized focus into executive compensation plans and arrangements, as well as the development and implementation of post-employment restrictive covenants. Has experience with: advising on Section 409(A); establishing ways to attract and retain key management; advising on equity and synthetic equity based compensation; assistance with sensitive considerations surrounding the departure of executives.

Provided legal advice and represents the IRS and Office of Chief Counsel in litigation on various federal labor and employment issues involving personnel, discrimination, and labor-management relations before fora such as the Merit Systems Protection Board, Federal Labor Relations Authority, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and in arbitration. Provided litigation support to the Department of Justice with respect to these labor and personnel issues, Bivens suits, and other miscellaneous non-tax suits filed in their geographic areas.

Worked with the Washington University School of Law Appellate Clinic to research and write an appellant's opening and reply brief before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. With a group of two other law students, we managed client contact and relations, developed and researched legal theories for the client, and participated fully in the appeals process under supervision of a licensed attorney.
