I started in Marks and Spencer from the age of 18 and have been working there since. I have 2 years of a chemistry degree which helped with critical thinking and problem solving. I was offered a management position which has been my role the past 2 years.This has helped me grow as a leader, improved my communication and ability to plan. It has aided in my teamwork, also helping me to work better under pressure to achieve tasks e.g tidying the store and working a delivery in short spaces of time. Working in retail specifically fashion has helped me manage ambiguity, people have different tastes so laying the shop out is always a challenge to make it appealing to as many people as possible while keeping the fashion relevant.
