As a Communication Studies major and former student athlete, I have experience in both academic and organizational fields. I have extensive practice and knowledge in interpersonal communication, small group communication, and leadership positions. As the former vice president of the SJSU Wrestling Club, I also have leadership experience and have learned the importance of taking initiative and when to allow others to take charge. Having served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve as a radio operator, I have technical skills in communications technology and knowledge in radio theory. During my time in the Marine Corps I have gathered valuable experience and knowledge through different exercises and scenarios, such as training alongside foreign military personnel as part of a multinational training exercise, and understand the importance of accountability, teamwork, and initiative. I am currently working as a Emergency Medical Technician where I provide high quality care and transport to patients of varying acuity, as well as emergency medical transport.
